Every person has a unique story that deserves to be told, and I want to be the journalist who tells those stories, highlighting people and experiences to inform and inspire.

Being "a writer who reports," writing is at the heart of who I am and what I do. My education and experience taught me to write well for a variety of platforms, and better equipped me for my storytelling mission.

Born and raised in Corner, Alabama, I graduated from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi with a bachelor's in history and a journalism minor. I served as editor in chief of my college newspaper for two years, and worked as a freelance writer in Jackson for eight months. I will complete my master's in journalism at The University of Alabama in August 2022.
