Multimedia Packages

Before coming to graduate school at the University of Alabama, I only worked in journalism for print and digital platforms.

Writing and storytelling are integral parts of my life, and my first semester classes taught me how to expand those passions into video and audio mediums.

The dropdown menu leads to three stories I created during my year at the University of Alabama.

The first is an issue story exploring the state of emergency care in Pickens County, Alabama two years after its only hospital closed. The package includes a written story, two news packages with social media and an audio story.

The other two are news packages created for my media production class in the Fall 2021 semester. The first describes the impact of regular flooding on an old Tuscaloosa neighborhood, and the second is a profile of Tuscaloosa's walking Civil Rights history tour.

I produced each package with a Sony NX-100 camera and Adobe Premiere Pro, and completed them with Thinglink, Google Map, and social media elements.
