Flooding in The Downs

Sarah Perdue's house in The Downs neighborhood south of 15th street flooded on September 18, 2021, just as it has done for the past 13 years. Her family's memories are stained with high-water marks, and she wants the city's drainage system improved to prevent this from happening again.

I shot this news story with a Sony NX-100 and edited it for my Media Production Tools class. Elements include a news story, a social media video, a Thinglink, a Google Map, and a package of social media posts.
